William Jennings Bryan and Clarence Darrow
William Jennings Bryan (right) and Clarence Darrow (left) were the two lawyers involved in the Scopes Trial. Darrow argued for John Scopes and the side of evolution, while Bryan represented the State of Tennessee and the side of creationism and the Bible. However, the two men were fairly good friends outside of the trial (Clarence Darrow and William Jennings Bryan), and the trial, being staged, had no effect on that.
